I remember Donald Mulhern very well. One day while ahsore on a port liberty, 
Donald Mulhern along with another shipmate, I believe his last name was 
Edwards were in a serious horrific car accident while ashore on  a Med-Cruise 
in Italy in 1980. Their bodies were flown back home. It was a very sad day for 
all of us aboard the Nitro and I believe both of their names should be added to 
the death list. A shipmate name Joseph Baldanaro I believe took-up collections 
for their families Thanks Kim
